David Kirschner is the associate dean and dean of admissions at the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law. As dean of admissions, Dean Kirschner is responsible for setting and implementing strategic goals and targets for each admissions cycle along with the day-to-day operations to ensure that the goals are met. Dean Kirschner is a leader in the law school admissions community and frequent presenter at Law School Admissions Council (LSAC) meetings and conferences. He has served two terms on the Services and Programs Committee and chaired the Forums Ad Hoc Work Group for one term. Dean Kirschner also recently completed an appointment on the LSAC Information Services Division Advisory Group (ISDAG) and is currently a member of the Test Development & Research Committee.

Dean Kirschner earned his BA in film production cum laude from the University of Southern California and his JD cum laude from California Western School of Law.

While in law school, Dean Kirschner served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Barbara L. Major, Magistrate Judge, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. Dean Kirschner begin his career in law school admissions as an alumni recruiter at California Western School of Law before becoming assistant and then associate director of admissions at Loyola Law School, Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
