The Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Association (EVCA) connects students with an interest in entrepreneurship to information, contacts, and events that will enable them to expand their knowledge and experience. Entrepreneurship has several intersections with law. First, entrepreneurs and venture capitalists depend on lawyers to handle business formation, financing transactions, intellectual property protection, etc. Second, there is an emerging wave of entrepreneurship within the legal industry, resulting in new tools and approaches. Third, law is traditionally entrepreneurial, with lawyers striking it out on their own or partnering to build business and networks. To learn more, attend one of our many events, and if you have any questions about the group please feel free to get in touch!
