Ian Wood is associate dean of finance and strategic planning at the USC Gould School of Law. His focus is managing all budgeting and financial operations for the school, including general accounting, contracts, grants, accounts payable and receivable, purchasing and funding operations. Additionally, Wood leads the long-term strategic planning for Gould in support of the dean’s goals.
Prior to joining USC Gould, Wood was the chief administrative and finance officer for the Department of Preventive Medicine, Keck School of Medicine of USC. His earlier experience includes director of programs at Electricore, Inc., a field engineer with Schlumberger Ltd., and a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne).
Wood received a BA in Earth and Planetary Science from the Johns Hopkins University; and an MBA from the University of Southern California.
