Dr. Hayden Henderson is a postdoctoral research associate at the USC Child Interviewing Lab in the Gould School of Law. She completed her PhD under Dr. Michael Lamb at the University of Cambridge, where she investigated methods for improving how child witnesses are questioned in court. She completed her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Texas in Austin, where her honors thesis focused on jury biases. Hayden’s research interests include the treatment of both vulnerable witnesses and suspects in the legal system (e.g., forensic interviewing, courtroom). As well, she is interested in identifying additional roadblocks in the criminal justice system – for example, jury biases and procedural delays – and understanding how these contribute to miscarriages of justice.
