Course Description

Legal and Business Aspects of Publishing and Adaptation LAW-876

This course will focus on training lawyers to represent those authors, writers, and creators who are just starting out and who cannot attract or afford representation by the “big boys and girls.” There is a whole world of these people out there, anxious to have lawyers represent them—lawyers who are ready, willing and able to help them advance themselves to the next level in their entertainment careers.

A practical approach to getting, keeping, and representing entertainment clients such as book authors and comic book and graphic novel creators will be emphasized.

Instructor: Paul S. Levine
