USC Gould School of Law Professor Angela Zhang participated in a panel discussion during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The Jan. 21 panel, titled “US and China: Where Will They Land?”, addressed the interconnectedness of the two countries despite ongoing frictions. Panelists discussed likely diplomatic and economic landing zones for the two countries in light of both security and economic considerations.
The World Economic Forum is the international organization for public-private cooperation, according to its website. The Forum’s stated mission is to engage global leaders to shape industry agendas and gather people from all walks of life who have the drive and influence to make positive change.
Zhang is a widely cited scholar on artificial intelligence and Chinese tech regulation. Her research and areas of expertise encompass global tech regulation, China and U.S. national security issues, and how China regulates big tech and AI.
