BS in Legal Studies: Scholarships

Undergraduate Law Programs

The USC Gould Undergraduate Law Programs Office provides full-time students in the Legal Studies major several scholarship opportunities. These merit scholarships are available to incoming first-year students (including spring admits), transfer students, and continuing students.

Note: In some cases, awards may affect financial aid packages received from USC. Depending on each financial aid package, these awards may replace gift aid you are receiving from other sources at USC. Scholarships awarded by USC Gould Undergraduate Law Programs will only be applied to University tuition costs and may not be used to cover housing, books, fees, or meal plans.

Scholarships for Incoming Legal Studies Students (First-Year Students, Spring Admits, and Transfer Students)

Scholarships for incoming first-year students, including spring admits, and transfer students, require no supplemental application, and are offered to a select number of students upon careful consideration of each applicant after matriculation. Scholarships are awarded for the fall and spring semesters of their first year in the Legal Studies major. Awardees must maintain full-time status for the entire academic year during which the scholarship is awarded. Students may be eligible for up to $4,000 in scholarship funds.

  2. Spring Admits Legal Studies Scholarship
  3. Incoming Transfers Legal Studies Scholarship

Scholarships for Continuing Legal Studies' Students

Scholarships for continuing students are awarded by academic year for the fall and spring semesters. At the time of the application, students must be enrolled in the Legal Studies major and plan to be full-time USC undergraduate students in the 2023-2024 academic year to be eligible for an award.

Given that scholarships are awarded for the academic year, students graduating in fall 2023 or summer 2023 are not eligible to apply. Continuing students may apply for scholarships each academic year. Having received a previous award will not disqualify students from applying on a yearly basis. Those who have applied previously but who were not awarded a scholarship are eligible to apply in a future academic year. Students may be eligible for up to $4,000 in scholarship funds.
