Profs. Brown and Rasmussen Honored with Chairs

Rader and McCarthy chairs filled

They now hold Rader and McCarthy chairs USC Gould Prof. Rebecca Brown and former Dean Robert K. Rasmussen were recently named holders of the Rader Family Trustee Chair In Law and the J. Thomas McCarthy Trustee Chair In Law, respectively. A widely published bankruptcy law scholar, Rasmussen's expertise is focused on the interaction of market forces and corporate reorganization law. His most recent work addresses fundamental changes in corporate reorganization practice. He teaches Contracts and Realities of Commercial Lending. Brown is a constitutional theorist whose scholarship focuses on judicial review and its relationship to individual liberty under the U.S. Constitution. “I am very pleased and proud that Bob and Rebecca will hold these important chairs,” said USC Gould Dean Andrew Guzman. “We are grateful to them as well as the Rader and McCarthy families for endowing the chairs.”
