Southern California Innovation Project will hold a conference on Financial Law & Innovation at USC Law on May 8.

The event brings together economists and legal academics to explore ways in which law encourages or inhibits innovation in business enterprises, the proper regulation of access to risk capital, and the efficiency tradeoffs inherent in regulatory regimes focused on the protection of investors.

Panelists include USC Law's James Spindler, Northwestern University's Kenneth Ayotte and Boston University's Charles Whitehead.

The conference is open to all USC Law students, faculty and staff. For more information, visit http://scip.usc.edu/events.cfm.
