Ben Dimapindan is the associate dean of communications strategy and digital media. He oversees the communications and marketing office at the USC Gould School of Law. In this role, he focuses on shaping school-wide strategic plans and creating opportunities that help expand the reach of the law school and advance its institutional profile.
Before joining the law school, he spent more than 10 years with the USC Price School of Public Policy, where he developed content and strategies for web, digital and social campaigns, and led the school’s news operations. In addition, he has held prior roles in the fields of e-commerce and journalism.
Dimapindan earned his doctor of education from the University of Southern California’s Rossier School of Education. He also holds a master’s degree in communications from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from California State University, Long Beach.

"It may be that things are changing around the mental health story, and it may even be that COVID is helpful," she said. "It's kind of a silver lining that more people have experienced anxiety and depression and fear because of COVID, and may be able to empathize more with people who feel those things because of conditions."
