Daniel C. Tepstein is chief litigation counsel for Verizon Media Group, which operates Yahoo, AOL, HuffPost and other leading online brands. He previously served as vice president and associate general counsel for Yahoo! Inc.

With more than two decades of litigation experience, Tepstein has litigated or overseen the prosecution and defense of hundreds of significant disputes — several of which were matters of first impression that shaped the law for Internet service providers and their users. Prior to joining Yahoo in 2007, he was a partner at Hunton & Williams LLP, and before that at O’Donnell & Shaeffer LLP, in Los Angeles.

Tepstein graduated cum laude from Southwestern University School of Law, where he was editor-in-chief of the Southwestern Law Review and served as an extern for the Honorable Arthur L. Alarcón, senior circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He completed his undergraduate studies at Loyola Marymount University.
