Nick Merkin is the CEO of Compliagent, a healthcare compliance consulting firm based in Los Angeles. As part of his practice, Merkin serves as an interim or fractional chief compliance officer for healthcare organizations experiencing rapid growth, acquisition or enforcement challenges. Merkin earned his JD from Columbia Law School, where he was named a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and served as managing editor of the Columbia Journal of Law and Social Problems. He also received an MBA from Tel Aviv University's Recanati School of Business and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania. A member of the California Bar, Merkin is certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) and Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) by the Compliance Certification Board (CCB).
