Avery Van Den Berg is a Staff Attorney and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Law at the USC Gould School of Law Immigration Clinic. She specializes in immigration law. She provides direct representation to detained noncitizens in removal proceedings and assists in the supervision of law students participating in the Immigration Clinic.
Prior to joining USC Gould, Van Den Berg worked for the University of Georgia School of Law’s Community Health Law Partnership, where she managed a pro bono immigration caseload and supported in the clinical teaching and supervision of law students. Van Den Berg is a graduate of the University of California, Davis School of Law and received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Spanish from Drake University. She is barred in California and admitted in the Central, Southern, and Eastern Districts of California.
