Dave Campbell teaches Criminal Law. For 35 years, until his retirement in 2020, he was a Deputy District Attorney for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. In this position, he prosecuted felony cases involving first-degree murder; drug trafficking; arson; sexual battery; and child abuse.

Campbell currently operates his own law practice handling civil and criminal cases in state courts. Previously, he was a litigation attorney with several civil law firms in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. His areas of interest include trial advocacy, criminal law, evidence, constitutional law and mental health law.

Campbell earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from George Washington University and his JD from the American University College of Law.

He has previously taught undergraduate and graduate level courses in mental health law, business law, constitutional law, evidence and criminal procedure.
