Allen W. Chiu is senior vice president, chief compliance officer and deputy general counsel, litigation for Genesys, a global leader in cloud customer experience and contact center solutions. In that role, he oversees Genesys’ ethics and compliance program, which includes its global anti-corruption/anti-bribery and trade compliance programs, as well as its litigation docket worldwide.

Before joining Genesys, Chiu was an assistant United States attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, where he served in the national security and criminal divisions of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California. In 2016, he received the California Lawyer of the Year Award in the national security category from the Daily Journal. Before becoming a federal prosecutor, he was with Latham & Watkins LLP and served as a judicial law clerk for Hon. Dana M. Sabraw in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.

Chiu is a graduate of the UCLA School of Law, where he served as a managing editor of the UCLA Law Review. He teaches Cyberlaw at the USC Gould School of Law, and teaches National Security and Data Privacy at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.
