Tim Clarke is an Adjunct Lecturer in Law and experienced practitioner in the field of athlete-agent representation with a specific focus and expertise in professional baseball.

As General Counsel for baseball agency MVP Sports Group from its inception in 2010, he advised the agency on all legal matters pertaining to the company and its baseball player clients. He also worked closely with union representatives at the Major League Baseball Players’ Association including on matters of player discipline, grievance, worker’s compensation, appeals and more. Clarke managed the preparation, research, strategy, negotiation, drafting, briefing and argument for all salary arbitration cases involving MVP’s clients. He was similarly involved in the company’s contract negotiations on behalf of free agent players including Albert Pujols, Joey Votto and Manny Machado among many others.

Clarke co-founded Alignd Sports Agency in 2020 and served as its General Counsel and COO for 4+ years overseeing all aspects of its business and financial operations and serving as the legal arm of the company and for its clients. He continued to manage all aspects of the salary arbitration process and was heavily involved in all contract negotiations including multi-year deals for Liam Hendriks and Austin Riley.

Clarke is a member of the California bar in good standing and received his JD from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst graduating magna cum laude with a double major in journalism and economics.
