Greg Dohi has served as a judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court since 2007. He grew up in the San Fernando Valley, two miles from the Van Nuys courthouse where he now presides over a criminal caseload. He also handles the Community Collaborative Court, which specializes in cases involving military veterans and others struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues. Prior to his appointment to the bench, he served as a prosecutor with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for 15 years. He got his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Harvard and his law degree from Berkeley. He has taught as an adjunct professor/lecturer at Southwestern Law School and USC, and he now teaches at Cal State Northridge. He has been an instructor for the statewide Center for Judicial Education and Research, the L.A. Superior Court’s judicial education program, and the Alliance of California Judges.
