Preston Hopson

Preston Hopson joined Tetra Tech in January 2018 as senior vice president and general counsel. At that time, he also was elected secretary to the Board of Directors. Tetra Tech is a leading provider of consulting and engineering services. The company supports government and commercial clients by providing innovative solutions focused on water, environment, infrastructure, resource management, energy and international development.

For the prior 10 years, Hopson served as assistant general counsel and assistant corporate secretary at the engineering and infrastructure firm AECOM. Prior to this, he was a senior associate at the law firm O’Melveny & Myers, LLP in Los Angeles. Hopson began his career as a judicial clerk on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Hopson holds both a JD and a BA in ethics, politics and economics from Yale University. He is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel, Southern California Chapter, Board of Directors and a member of the Leadership Council of the Posse Scholarship Foundation.
