Anthony Khoury has more than 20 years of experience in the legal industry, and in addition to currently finishing his LL.M. in Dispute Resolution at the Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution, he is serving on the neutral panels for the Mediation Center of Los Angeles (MCLA) and Alternative Resolution Centers (ARC), as well as on the American Arbitration Association (AAA) Panel of Employment Arbitrators.

Prior to embarking on a new path as a mediator and an arbitrator in 2023, Khoury had the honor of serving as a Court Commissioner in Kern County where he presided over very diverse calendars in a multi-divisional court. During his time on the bench in Kern County, Khoury created a civil mediation program for limited civil, small claims, unlawful detainer, and civil harassment matters, and he created a voluntary settlement program for family law matters. He also served as a mandatory settlement conference judge for unlimited civil matters.

Prior to taking the bench, Khoury ran a successful law practice for over a decade, specializing in civil, business, and employment law litigation. His stellar track record as an attorney led to his appointment as an alternate member of the State Bar of California’s Committee on Professional Responsibility and Conduct (COPRAC) in 2021. Since leaving the bench, he has become a member of the International Academy of Mediators (IAM) Mentorship Program, and he is a co-leader of SCMA’s Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties Professional Development Group, and a co-leader of the Employment Mediation Professional Development Group.

Khoury has previously served as a Professor of Law teaching legal ethics at Abraham Lincoln University School of Law. As a Lecturer in Law at USC Gould School of Law, Khoury teaches Arbitration in the United States.
