Felton Newell is an experienced trial attorney who provides sophisticated legal counsel to corporate and individual clients. In his 25 years of practice, Newell has successfully represented clients in employment, entertainment and complex business litigation matters. Newell is co-managing partner of the Los Angeles boutique law firm Newell Law Group PC.

Newell has represented Fortune 100 companies, entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals in every phase of litigation. He has worked at national law firms (including Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy and Morrison Foerster) and boutique litigation firms, and he served for six years as a Los Angeles Deputy City Attorney. He has first chaired more than 40 trials to a jury verdict.

Newell has represented employers in numerous employment matters involving race, gender, age and disability discrimination claims as well as claims related to the classification of individuals as independent contractors. He has advised employers prior to litigation, drafted and argued successful motions for summary judgment and successfully represented employers in jury and bench trials.

Newell began his professional career as a legislative staff assistant in President Bill Clinton’s White House. Newell then attended the University of Chicago Law School, where he had President Barack Obama as a law professor. In law school, Newell won the Thomas R. Mulroy Prize for excellence in appellate advocacy. He conducted his undergraduate studies at Georgetown University.
