Roger Schroeder has had a diverse career on both the creative and business sides of the entertainment industry.  He earned a JD degree from the USC Gould School of Law and as well as a Master of Fine Arts from the Peter Stark Motion Picture Producing Program at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. He spent over 12 years as an attorney at a boutique entertainment firm in Century City where he represented the major studios and networks on various copyright and rights issues.  He then moved to an in-house attorney position at NBCUniversal (2016 – 2021). Since 2021, he has been part of the legal team at Sony Pictures, providing guidance to its film, television and streaming divisions on the production of new properties as well as the continuing exploitation of previously produced and historical properties.

Schroeder is well-versed in the creative side of the business. He wrote the film “A Boyfriend for Christmas,” which has now become a Christmas perennial. He also served as a writer of the popular NBC TV series “Days of our Lives,” winning an Emmy award for his work on the series in 2012 and was nominated for a WGA Award in 2013. Schroeder is also a member of both the WGA and the Television Academy.
