AND REPRESENTED BY USC LAW STUDENT

TO BE RELEASED FROM PRISON TODAY

 
WHAT:  Connie Keel, who has spent 29 years in prison for sitting in a car while her husband robbed and killed a shop owner, will be released from prison today, April 1. The 50-year-old woman was represented by USC Law student Adam Reich.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger did not reverse a parole board’s recommendation on Friday to release Keel. This is one of the few times Schwarzenegger has not blocked a prisoner’s release on the Parole Board’s first recommendation.  

WHERE: Keel will be available for interviews and a reunion with her family at Crossroads Inc., the transitional home where Keel will live for the first six months. Crossroads is located at 1269 N. Harvard Ave., Claremont, 91711.

WHEN: Today, April 1, at 11 a.m. (She may arrive at Crossroads later, depending on the prison’s administrative processes.)

WHO: Keel and Reich will be available for press interviews at Crossroads.
