Media Briefing Today: USC Announces Free Naturalization Assistance
Legal support is provided to assist permanent residents – including students, faculty, staff, their families and university neighbors -- who are eligible for naturalized citizenship. The process starts with free Citizenship Clinics hosted by the USC Gould School of Law
WHAT: Bilingual media briefing on free Citizenship Clinics offered by USC to complete and file the naturalization application, with assistance from the USC Gould Immigration Clinic.
Students and staff members, who have sought assistance with naturalization, will be on hand to answer questions and speak with the media.
WHEN: Tuesday, Sept. 19. Media Briefing begins at 2:30 p.m.

More about the USC Gould Immigration Clinic Citizenship Project: USC is offering eligible staff, students, faculty, family and community members a free pathway to become U.S. citizens. Orientation sessions kick off September 19. Registration required.
After participating in orientation sessions, individuals may choose one of three pathways to complete their naturalization application:
Free Citizenship Clinics to complete and file the naturalization application, with assistance from the USC Gould Immigration Clinic.
Free Individual Legal Assistance provided by the USC Gould Immigration Clinic for people with applications that need additional attention.
Free 12-week on-campus Naturalization Exam Preparation course for USC employees and anyone with a USC affiliation - including family members of employees, students and contract workers - who need to learn or improve their knowledge of U.S. civics and history, and practice their English terminology for the naturalization interview and exam before completing their naturalization application.
