Sandy Shin oversees marketing, communications and public relations for all aspects of the USC Gould School of Law.  She is responsible for enhancing the visibility and reputation of the school, as well as maintaining the brand and image with key constituencies including prospective students, alumni, donors, legal professionals and internal university colleagues. She manages multiple forms of communication including the USC Law Magazine, newsletters, brochures, website, Twitter, and YouTube, as well as media coverage in news outlets and publications.  

Dean Shin holds a B.A. from UCLA, and an MBA from the USC Marshall School of Business. Prior to joining USC Gould, she served as the marketing chief at UCLA and held key marketing positions with major brands including IBM, Disney, Kinko’s and Southern California Edison.

Jonathan Handel was interviewed about contract negotiations between the Writers Guild of America and television and movie producers. "The union has worked to release writers from exclusivity agreements but only if they make less than $210,000 a year," said Handel. "The irony here is that the Writers Guild's struggling TV writers are upper income, not middle class".
