Joseph Lipner is a partner at Irell & Manella LLP, where he began in 1991. Lipner practices in the areas of intellectual property and appellate work, and is the chair of the firm’s appellate practice. In addition to his trial and appellate practice, he is also the chair of the firm’s ethics committee, providing guidance under the rules of professional responsibility. Lipner graduated magna cum laude from Yeshiva College and magna cum laude from Harvard Law School. After law school, he served as a clerk for Judge Ruth Ida Abrams.
