Ben Barnett is a senior staff attorney at Inner City Law Center, a nonprofit law firm that serves the most vulnerable individuals and families in Los Angeles County. In that capacity, he works as a trial attorney for indigent tenants facing eviction.

Before taking on this role, Barnett clerked for the Hon. Anthony W. Ishii of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California. He also previously practiced civil litigation at a law firm in Chicago, and served as a judicial law clerk at both the Idaho Supreme Court and the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Barnett received a JD and an MBA from Loyola University Chicago, and a BA in psychology and political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

As a lecturer in law at the USC Gould School of Law, Barnett teaches a course introducing the structure, operation and methodology of the U.S. legal system.
