Jill Feeney

Hon. Jill Feeney was appointed to the Los Angeles Superior Court by Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr. in 2018. She presided over a criminal court for three years and recently moved to a civil courtroom.

Prior to her appointment to the bench, Judge Feeney worked as an Assistant United States Attorney for 21 years in Brooklyn, New York, and in Los Angeles. As a prosecutor, Judge Feeney primarily focused on fraud cases, including ponzi schemes, tax evasion and money laundering.

Prior to her career at the U.S. Department of Justice, Judge Feeney worked for four years as a litigation associate at Arnold and Porter in Washington, D.C. Judge Feeney also served as a law clerk to the Hon. William H. Yohn, Jr., of the United States District Court in Philadelphia, and as an assistant to then Special Counsel Mary McLaughlin at the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Technology, Terrorism and Government Information.

She earned her JD from Yale Law School and BA from the College of William and Mary.
