Sean Galliher
Sean Galliher is in-house counsel with SKECHERS USA, Inc. in Manhattan Beach, Calif. He currently serves on the board of directors for the SKECHERS Foundation, which is a charitable arm of the company. He has been an advocate in numerous arbitrations, negotiations and mediations throughout his career, covering issues such as employment law, insurance claims, personal injury, business issues and international matters.
While pursuing his law degree, Galliher interned with the counsel to New York Gov. Mario Cuomo in the capitol building in Albany, N.Y. He also spent 13 years as a trial attorney in New York, conducting jury trails and arguing appeals in New York state and federal court. Galliher was also involved in a federal court case involving Amy Fisher. In 2006, he relocated to southern California where he represented a publishing and casino business before moving on to SKECHERS.
Galliher received his JD degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1992. He also received an LLM in International Business Law from Boston University School of Law and an LLM in ADR from the USC Gould School of Law. He is an active member of both the New York and California bars and a member of the bar of the United States Supreme Court. Galliher is an active member with the Southern California Mediation Association and he is also a fellow to the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in London.
