Nader Khorassani, originally from the New York city suburbs, teaches Fundamentals of Entertainment Law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with honors and Hispanic Studies, magna cum laude, from Boston College in 2010, and a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Fordham University School of Law in 2013.

Khorassani worked as an Associate in Gibson Dunn’s New York Litigation group directly after law school, before joining NBCUniversal’s in-house legal department in New York in 2017. There, he worked on shows like The Real Housewives of New York City, Married to Medicine, and The Purge, negotiating agreements with on-screen talent, production companies, and overseeing outside counsel while providing production legal advice on scripted and unscripted programming. He also negotiated license agreements for movies and series airing across NBCUniversal’s portfolio of cable networks like Bravo, USA, SYFY, and Universal Kids, and advised the cable networks’ digital marketing teams on promotional initiatives. Khorassani, who is bilingual in Spanish, also spent a summer working in NBCUniversal’s Miami office with the Latin American Cable Networks Business & Legal Affairs group, providing legal advice to the Central and South American cable networks’ production, licensing, marketing, sales, and business developments teams.

Since 2019, Khorassani has been working as a Business Affairs executive at Snapchat in Santa Monica, CA. There, he has negotiated deals with production companies and on-screen talent for scripted and unscripted short-form original programming airing on Snapchat. He has also negotiated agreements and managed relationships with news outlets, television networks, and digital publishers who distribute content on Snapchat, while also structuring and negotiating deals with music publishers, talent agencies, and influencer and celebrity talent in connection with Snapchat’s Content businesses.
