Raj Shah is a deputy federal public defender in the Central District of California, who represents indigent individuals in appellate and post-conviction proceedings in the California state courts, U.S. District Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Previously, he clerked for the Honorable Jesus G. Bernal (U.S. District Judge), Honorable Virginia A. Phillips (U.S. District Judge), and the Honorable Kenly Kiya Kato (U.S. Magistrate Judge) in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

Shah teaches Legal Writing, Research, and Advocacy to USC Gould JD students.
