Emily Wajert
Emily Wajert is a labor and employment lawyer at Sidley Austin LLP. Wajert represents employers in a variety of employment-related claims and disputes, including discrimination, retaliation, failure to accommodate, restrictive covenant and bonus claims. She also assists clients in compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and advises clients on a wide array of issues, including transactional matters and mergers and acquisitions (both buy-side and sell-side). Wajert works closely with clients in conducting workplace investigations involving allegations of sexual harassment, violation of workplace policies and financial improprieties. She also advises clients on COVID-19 workplace issues, including return-to-work policies, remote work operations and handling furloughs and layoffs in accordance with local, state and federal law.
Wajert represents clients across various industries including media and entertainment, financial services, technology and e-commerce.
Wajert has authored more than 25 articles and alerts on key labor and employment issues for a variety of publications including Thomas Reuters, Daily Journal, Law360 and Bloomberg Law.
