3L Named Volunteer of the Year

LA County honors Lindsay Toczylowski

Third-year student Lindsay Toczylowski was named a Volunteer of the Year by the County of Los Angeles for the work she did with the L.A. County Bar Association’s Domestic Violence Clinic in 2007.

Toczylowski was honored at the County of Los Angeles Volunteer Recognition and Awards Luncheon, held April 21. Associate Dean Lisa Mean, head of the USC Law Office of Public Service, also attended the luncheon.

Her volunteer work with the domestic violence clinic and other projects also was recognized at the USC Pro Bono Awards Luncheon April 23. As a contributor of more than 100 hours of community service, Toczylowski received an Office of Public Service Award, and was one of three graduating students to receive a Karen A. Lash Grant. A past president of the USC Law Public Interest Law Foundation, Toczylowski has also worked with the USC Immigration Clinic, USAID, Centro de Mujeres Ixchen in Nicaragua, the Office of Pubilc Service, and has volunteered with agencies in the Gulf Coast.
