The final round of the USC Law 2007 Hale Moot Court Honors Program will be held Friday, March 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. in Norris Cinema Theatre on the USC University Park Campus.

Second-year students Sirena Castillo, Alicia Clough, Lauren Grubb and Michelle Keogh will be presenting oral arguments concerning the Foreign Commerce Clause and the 6th Amendment. Judging the competition will be U.S. Court of Appeals Judge R. Guy Cole Jr., Supreme Court of Arizona Chief Justice Ruth V. McGregor, and Supreme Court of California Associate Justice Kathryn M. Werdegar.

“This year's competition has been impressive and intense,” said Johari Townes, 3L and Moot Court chair. “All of the participants this year were terrific, and the final four are truly outstanding. The final round should be a nail-biter.”

The Hale Moot Court Honors Program is completely student-run and is designed to develop participants’ appellate advocacy skills. Forty 2Ls (listed below) were selected to participate based on their performance in a first-year oral and written advocacy competition. This year’s program began with preliminary rounds held in October.
