The Post Conviction Justice Project (PCJP) at USC Gould School of Law, led by Professors Heidi Rummel and Michael Parente, have been awarded a $280,000 RIGHT grant from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
RIGHT, which stands for Rehabilitative Investment Grants for Healing and Transformation, supports “community-based, nonprofit organizations for the purpose of delivering trauma-informed, rehabilitative and/or restorative justice programming in California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation institutions.”
“The PCJP Team is delighted that our work providing meaningful education, rehabilitative resources and legal advice to incarcerated people was recognized by CDCR and supported for three more years under the leadership of Supervising Attorney Danielle Wilkins,” Rummel said.
