The USC Gould School of Law is expanding its innovative Online Entertainment Law and Industry Certificate with new course offerings that include Music Law in Practice, Dealmaking in the Entertainment Industry, Digital Media Transactions, and Negotiation Skills.

The online graduate certificate requires 12 units of study and is available on a stand-alone basis. Students enrolled in USC Gould’s online master’s degrees – including its Master of Studies in Law (MSL) for non-lawyer professionals and the Master of Laws (LLM) for lawyers – may also incorporate the certificate into their 21-unit degree requirements, which earns them both the certificate and the degree at the same time.

USC Gould’s Online Entertainment Law and Industry certificate has attracted professionals from NBCUniversal, Spotify, The Walt Disney Company and Sony Music Entertainment, along with those who seek to learn more about the industry and enhance their entertainment credentials.

Entertainment law and industry courses are taught by instructors who are among the field’s leading practitioners, and who bring their knowledge and expertise into USC Gould’s interactive online learning environment.

“We are excited to expand our entertainment offerings, and help students deepen their understanding of this dynamic field,” said Deborah Call, Associate Dean and Chief Programs Officer. “Through specialized, practice-oriented training, students gain valuable business knowledge and problem-solving skills that can be immediately applied to a variety of roles and responsibilities.”

The USC Gould School of Law is one of U.S. News & World Report’s top 20 Best Law Schools.
