PILF also names student, attorney of the year

Ingrid NewquistThirty-nine USC Law students have received grants to support their public interest work this summer. They were recognized at an April luncheon hosted by the Public Interest Law Foundation (PILF).

PILF also named its 2010 Student of the Year, Ingrid Newquist '10 (right), honored for her public service and involvement with PILF throughout her three years at USC Law.

Two alumnae attorneys were awarded for their commitment to social justice lawyering: Sarah Vesecky '99, deputy Los Angeles county counsel, named 2010 PILF Pubilc Interest Attorney of the Year; and Tara Cooper '05, an associate at Holland & Knight in L.A., named Paul Davis Memorial Pro Bono Attorney of the Year.
