USC Law students from all three years and the Graduate and International Programs participated in the sixth annual UCLA Anderson Soccer Cup Nov. 10.

The team of 28 held three practices prior to its appearance in the day-long tournament, but never on a full-size field.

"We played three games in the group stage of the tournament, and improved with each one," said 3L Emmet O'Hanlon. "First, we lost to Stanford Business 4-0. Then, we lost a closely-fought game with Thunderbird School of Management 1-0. Finally, we crushed Berkeley's Haas School of Business 4-1.

"Unfortunately, we didn't reach the medal round of the tourney, but we built a solid foundation for future years."

Sixteen teams from graduate schools across the country played, including UCLA Law and Harvard, Stanford, MIT and University of California, Berkeley, business schools.

The USC Law team was sponsored by the Student Bar Association.
