This fall, the USC Gould School of Law’s Undergraduate Law Programs welcomed the second class into the Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies program. The 28 freshmen, 13 transfers, and 10 spring admits join the 110 continuing USC students who were admitted into the program’s inaugural cohort and those who transferred into the Legal Studies degree program.

On Aug. 22, the Undergraduate Law Programs team hosted a special welcome event to introduce the Legal Studies Class of 2028 and their families to the USC Gould community. Students engaged in various interactive activities to help them connect with their classmates and become more familiar with the campus. They also received a warm welcome from esteemed faculty, staff and Dean Franita Tolson.

“It was a pleasure to meet our new students, their families and guests at Gould’s Undergraduate Welcome Event. The students in our incoming class are an extraordinary group who were at the top of their high school classes,” said Tolson, who holds the Carl Mason Franklin Chair in Law. “They represent diverse backgrounds and include many first-generation students. This class includes two athletes and three veterans as well. It was impressive to see how quickly our students connected with each other and felt a sense of belonging at USC and our law school.”
