Tuition & Financial Aid - Accelerated JD/MBA

A dual legal and business education is a major investment in your future, and it requires a significant financial commitment. We are here to help.

To earn the JD and the MBA degrees, students must complete a total of 116 units (68 units of Gould law courses and 48 units of Marshall business courses). Students pay the unit rate (either the JD students’ unit rate or the Marshall Graduate students’ unit rate) for the courses in which they are registered each semester over the course of their 8 semesters of the accelerated dual degree studies.

The Gould School of Law unit rate for 2025-26 is $3,707. The Marshall School of Business unit rate for 2025-26 is $2,541. Learn more about USC tuition rates and fees on the Office of Academic Records and Registrar website.

Rates for tuition and fees are set annually and are subject to change. Students pay the same tuition rate regardless of their state of residence.
In addition to tuition, fees, books and living expenses are calculated as a part of students’ cost of attendance.
Most incoming USC students receive some form of scholarship support and, as an admitted student, you will automatically be considered. Overall, financial aid for USC Gould students has increased 172% since 2011 to improve the actual cost and value.
The USC Gould Financial Aid Office and USC Financial Aid Office will work with you one-on-one to help you estimate your cost of attendance, navigate the scholarship and financial aid application process, and assist you with counseling and other resources for debt management and financial planning so you are well-prepared for life after your studies.

The total approximate annual cost of tuition for the Accelerated JD/MBA, based upon the Gould School of Law and the Marshall School of Business' 2025/2026 unit tuition rates, is provided here.

However, it does not reflect annual tuition rate increases, which students should anticipate.

Students will pay tuition each semester over the 8 semesters of their studies based upon the law and business units in which they are enrolled. Thus, the annual tuition will be divided amongst the 8 semesters of study.

Tuition each semester is assessed based upon the number of law and business units in which students are enrolled.

Admitted applicants are automatically considered for a scholarship award. Scholarship notifications are sent separately from admission decisions.

Student Loan Programs

If, in addition to scholarship support, you want to be considered for student loan programs, you will need to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

USC's FAFSA code is 001328.
The FAFSA is available beginning January 1.
The suggested filing deadline is March 1.
After completing the FAFSA, admitted applicants will receive electronic notification of next steps to determine eligibility for student loans.

International Applicants

International applicants are eligible for scholarship awards and will automatically be considered upon receipt of your application materials.

As a non-resident student, you will need an I-20 for a F-1 student visa.
Please be prepared to provide the appropriate documentation verifying proof of financial support should you be admitted and choose to enroll at USC Gould. This may include bank statements, affidavits of support if the funds are not in your name, and a copy of the information page of your passport.
