Hale Moot Court Program semifinals

Four students will advance to the finals on March 2

The semifinal rounds of the Hale Moot Court Honors Program competition were held in the Ackerman Courtroom Feb. 8.

Participating in the first round of the night were petitioners Carol Fabrizio and Kate Paradise, and respondents Michelle Keogh and Stacie Torres. Competing in the second round were Sirena Castillo, Alicia Clough, Lauren Grubb and Radhika Tillmon.

The semifinalists presented oral arguments before a jury of students and a panel of guest judges: California Court of Appeal Justice Paul Boland '66, USC Law Dean Edward J. McCaffery, and U.S. District Judge Dean D. Pregerson. The judges selected Castillo, Clough, Grubb and Keogh to advance to the final round of the competition, which will be held Friday, March 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Norris Cinema Theatre on the USC campus.
