Prof. Orin Kerr is the most-cited criminal law and procedure faculty member in the U.S.

Kerr’s scholarship was cited 1,300 times

USC Gould Professor Orin Kerr continues to hold the distinction as most cited criminal law and procedure faculty member in the United States, according to the latest Sisk data.

Kerr’s scholarship was cited 1,300 times over a four year period - 50 percent more than the second-most cited scholar on the list. 

Kerr, who is the Frances R. and John J. Duggan Distinguished Professor of Law, joined the USC law faculty in January. His work has appeared in more than 300 judicial opinions and 3,000 articles.

“Orin is an extraordinary professor with jaw-dropping productivity,” said Dean Andrew T. Guzman at Kerr’s recent installation ceremony.
