Ted Sarandos Headlines USC’s 2016 Institute on Entertainment Law and Business, Saturday, Oct. 22

WHAT: Ted Sarandos, Chief Content Officer of Netflix, is the keynote speaker at the USC Gould School of Law and the Beverly Hills Bar Association annual Institute on Entertainment Law and Business conference. With the theme, “Above and Beyond: The Transforming World of Entertainment,” the event will feature in-depth examinations of the hottest entertainment law issues as well as the latest business perspectives and deals.  Peter Cuneo (Valiant Entertainment), Tom DeSanto (Paladin Entertainment), Louis D’Esposito (Marvel Studios), and Eric Reid (William Morris Endeavor) will explain the rise of comic book properties as revenue-drivers at studios and networks.

WHO: Ted Sarandos will share his experiences and thoughts on the state of the entertainment industry in a conversation with Bruce Ramer of Gang, Tyre, Ramer & Brown, Inc. Jeffrey Cole, director, Center for the Digital Future, USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism will return to provide his ever-popular industry update.

WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 22. The doors open for registration at 7:30 a.m. at USC Bovard Auditorium, with the first symposium beginning at 8:35 a.m., and last symposium starting at 4:00 p.m. The keynote lunch will begin at 1:20 p.m. at USC Ronald Tutor Campus Center Ballroom.

WHERE: Registration and morning sessions will take place at USC’s Bovard Auditorium; lunch will be held at USC Ronald Tutor Campus Center Ballroom; and afternoon sessions will be offered at the USC Gould School of Law.

COST: Free for the media. The event is $410 for the general public.
