"Participation" is the percentage of USC Law alumni who make a gift of any amount to the law school each year. Undesignated gifts will be credited to the Dean's Strategic Fund, which is used to meet the school's most pressing needs.
Tuition covers only two-thirds of the actual cost of attending USC Gould. The other third is a "hidden subsidy" which comes mainly from alumni philanthropy. It is alumni giving that provides for programs and needs which further enriches a student's experience. Your gift to the 3L Class Gift Campaign will not only enable future students to attend USC Gould but will ensure their experience is as meaningful as yours.
Participation is the ultimate goal, so all gifts matter regardless of size. If you would like to be considered a leadership donor, a gift of $250 is eligible for membership in Gould's Law Leadership Society. Benefits of membership in this community include invitations to premier university and law school events and complimentary registration for select law school events. After commencement, membership begins at $500.
Yes! If you have made a multi-year pledge, pledge payments in future years will not only be applied to your 3L pledge but will also count towards your firm's participation in the Law Firm Challenge during the year in which each payment is made.
