Curriculum
To earn the Master of International Trade Law and Economics, you must complete 32 units of study. You must enroll in seven mandatory courses listed below, and may choose from among the electives indicated below to complete the units required for the degree.
Please note that the USC Catalogue defines full-time enrollment as 8 units for master's level and graduate certificate students.
Students may enroll in the elective courses listed below only and will not enroll in courses specific to JD students.

You must successfully complete the following courses to receive the degree.

- International Trade Policy (LAW-637) – 3 units
- International Business Transactions (LAW-764) – 3 units
- Introduction to the U.S. Legal System (LAW-520) – 2 units
USC Dornsife
- Applied Trade Policy (ECON-550) – 4 units
- Microeconomic Analysis and Policy (ECON-500) – 4 units
- Practice of Econometrics (ECON-513) – 4 units
Electives
You may select 4 units from among the following LAW elective courses to satisfy the 4 units of elective courses required for the degree.

- Antitrust Law (LAW-753) – 3 units
- Business Organizations* (LAW-603) – 4 units
- Cross-Cultural Dispute Resolution (LAW-829) – 2 units
- Effective Writing for Professionals (LAW-513) – 2 units
- Externship for Graduate & International Program Students (LAW-581) – 2-4 units
- Global Regulatory Compliance (LAW-579) – 2 units
- Legal Research (LAW-510) – 1 unit
- Intellectual Property (LAW-772) – 3 units

- International Investment Law and Arbitration (LAW-626) – 1 unit

You may select from any 500-level Economics course to satisfy the 4 units of elective courses required for the degree.
