Applications for the Master of International Trade Law and Economics degree will be accepted until our application deadline. The Admissions Committee will only review an application once all transcripts and supporting documents are received.

Since you have earned a degree from outside of the United States, please apply for admission to the Master of International Trade Law and Economics by completing the application process through the Law School Admission Council's (LSAC) Credential Assembly Service. Among the required information and documents that you will submit through LSAC are:

1. On-campus LSAC Application

As a courtesy and to help applicants offset this cost, we have waived the USC Gould School of Law's separate application fee for all Master of International Trade Law and Economics applicants.

2. Official Transcripts and Degree Verification:

You must hold the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree, as evaluated by the USC Office of Graduate & International Admission. See a country-by-country breakdown of our requirements.

You are required to submit your official transcripts through the LSAC Credential Assembly Service. Transcripts must be evaluated through LSAC's Document Assembly Service (DAS) and International Transcript Authentication and Evaluation Service (ITAES). You will need to subscribe to the following LSAC services:

• Document Assembly Service: $85
• International Transcript Authentication and Evaluation Service (ITAES): $135
• Law School Report: $30

Transcripts must be submitted directly to LSAC by the university and may not be mailed to USC Gould School of Law. LSAC provides detailed instructions on submitting your transcripts. International applicants who do not choose these additional LSAC services on the LSAC application will not be reviewed.

Credential evaluation takes 2-3 weeks to complete once LSAC has received all of your documents; there may be further delay during LSAC's peak processing periods or if LSAC determines that additional information is required to complete its review. Therefore, we suggest you apply as early as possible so that there is no consequential delay in LSAC transmitting its evaluation report to us.

3. Personal Statement:

Provide a two or three-page document that includes your reasons for pursuing a graduate degree and how you plan to use this degree to advance your career. Include your personal, academic, and professional background as well.

4. Resume/Curriculum Vitae:

Provide a record of your employment history and list any distinctions, publications, and licenses/credentials.

5. English Proficiency:

• International applicants whose native language is not English are required to take the Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
• USC Gould School of Law does not have a minimum TOEFL or IELTS score; however, we recommend a 90 TOEFL iBT and a 7.0 IELTS.
• Please have your official scores sent to LSAC. Their institutional code is 8395.
• Test scores are valid for two years from the date taken.
