USC Gould graduates work in a myriad of job settings including federal, state and local government and in non-profit legal services across the nation and the world. The Career Services Office connects JD students and public sector in a variety of ways:
- Public sector job fairs: USC Gould is a member of the Southern California Consortium of Law Schools, which provides you with the ability to participate in the annual Public Interest Career Day. In addition, USC Gould is a member of Equal Justice Works and regularly sends students to the Equal Justice Works Conference and Career Fair in Washington, D.C.
- Recruitment Programs:Through On-Campus and Off-Campus Recruiting programs, public sector employers interview USC Gould students for summer and permanent post-graduate positions.
- Job postings: Throughout the year, our students apply for summer, part-time and full-time positions with public sector employers through Symplicity, our online recruitment database.

- Public Interest Career Fair: Each November, the law school hosts a career fair bringing to campus employers from across the public sector spectrum to encourage students to pursue schoolyear or summer opportunities, learn more about public sector careers and meet organizations that are seeking pro bono law student volunteers.
