The USC Gould School of Law’s Graduate and International Programs (G&IP) opened the 2025–2026 academic year by welcoming its newest cohort of residential and online students. This year’s class includes students from 33 countries enrolled across a range of academic offerings.
Nearly 400 new and continuing students have enrolled in the school’s on-campus master’s degrees, certificates, and non-degree programs. These include the General LLM, 2-Year LLM, LLM in International Business and Economic Law, LLM in Privacy Law and Cybersecurity, LLM in Business Law, LLM in Media and Entertainment Law, and LLM in Alternative Dispute Resolution. In addition, students have joined the Master of Dispute Resolution, ADR Certificate, Law and Advocacy and the Law and Artificial Intelligence Certificate programs. The cohort also includes students pursuing the Master of Studies in Law, the Master of International Trade Law and Economics, and the Master of Science in Innovation Economics, Law and Regulation.
USC Gould Dean Franita Tolson addressed the incoming class during the program’s orientation, highlighting the global representation and breadth of academic interests across the student body. The Graduate and International Programs also welcomed students beginning or continuing their studies in the law school’s online degree and certificate programs.
“Because of rapid changes and new technology that are redefining the professional landscape, two things are more important now than at any point prior: an international perspective, and an interdisciplinary focus,” Tolson said during her welcome remarks. “At USC Gould, you’ll be able to gain a foundational knowledge of legal concepts, combined with a broader understanding of how it impacts your areas of interest.”
