Cyberlaw: Legal Issues Impacting Providers and Users of Internet Services (Spring 2019)

Course Description

This course is designed to provide students with an overview of common legal issues impacting both providers and users of Internet services.  It will be taught by a leading practitioner with an emphasis on real-world application of emerging law to the business of the Internet.  Course sessions will be structured into lectures and class discussion of relevant cases and statutes, followed by breakout exercises designed to teach students how to assess and act quickly on fact patterns as both lawyers and business leaders.  This course will include at least one session off campus in Silicon Beach at the workplace of a major provider of online services.
