Child Interviewing Seminar (Spring 2019)

Course Description

Students will learn how to effectively interview child witnesses. They will learn the details of a structured protocol for interviewing children, and will understand the psychological research and the legal rules that underlie the protocol.  On a weekly basis they will practice interviewing with children enrolled in local schools. Videotapes of these interviews will be peer-reviewed by current and future seminar members. Course enrollment is limited to students with prior experience in working with children and with written permission from the instructor.
