Course Description

This course is an examination of how the U.S. adversary system address the presentation of evidence and the nature of the proof required at trial.  Specifically, the course focuses on rules and policies governing what kind of information which can be received at trial, how evidence can be properly developed by attorneys, and how evidence may be considered by the trier of fact. The course will emphasize the Federal Rules of Evidence, but also discuss state specific rules where substantially different from the federal rules.
